What is Allulose and what are the Net Carbs?

Instead of using cane sugar, we use Allulose to sweeten our Ice Creams! Allulose is a naturally occuring sugar (found in things like dates, figs, and raisins), that has no impact on blood sugar levels and 1/10th of the calories of cane sugar!

So where is Allulose on the Nutrition facts?

The FDA recently delared that since Allulose does not spike blood sugar levels like traditional sugar, it does not need to be claimed on the nutrition facts under "Sugars", even though you will see it in the Ingredient list. So the carb count on the nutrition panel IS the carb count with Allulose already subtracted! So to since allulose is already subtracted for you, to find net carbs, just subtract the fiber from the total carb count.
